Here are some photos of our pets, along with a description on how we came about to have them. Tinkerbell We have had 'Tink' for the longest. We got her when we were in Japan and she made the long journey home to New Mexico with us. She very much enjoys the big yard to run around in, and thinks she is the top dog. She is an AKC Registered Pomeranian and is about 5 years old now. And as you can see by the photo, she is camera shy. Rasin Rasin was Dad's dog and when he passed away, Mom was going to get rid of her until I said I wanted her. We had some friends watch her when we were still in Japan, and she has really become part of the family. She is a Chocolate Lab and is about 4 to 5 years old now. Barkley We got Barkley from a neighbor that was moving and really did not have the room to keep him (not that our yard that is surrounded by a 6' fence would keep him in). We are not sure what kind of dog he is, but he is quite clever and VERY protective of the family. I think anyone trying to get into the yard uninvited would not find him being his normal happy and pleasant self. lulu As you can see, Lulu is a taco bell dog! She is a 5 year old Chihuahua. She was Val's Christmas present in 2002, but will sit on Wayne's lap every chance she gets. There is a VERY long story as to how she came to live with us, so ask sometime and I will tell you. Raffi Raffi came to us from a guy Wayne worked with. His daughter had him, but did not really have the room for him, so he came to our animal refuge. We are told he is an English Lab, but we are sure he has some kind of bear or horse somewhere in his bloodline. Although he is HUGE, he is very careful around the kids and enjoys chasing the ball, only problem is, you never get it back! He LOVES to play in the sprinkler as well. The Geese Their names say it all. We call them Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter! Spider Spider is one of the cats. She came to us via a friend who's house she was born under. She is a lovable cat that likes to sit on Val's lap when she is on her rocking chair reading her book.
